Is the Alpine CD the same as the Bose unit ?

Hello

Just bought a 1993 coupe / manual 43,000 miles, 23,000 pounds.

I have read the *excellent* FAQ about sound systems and am looking for a CD changer to mate with the factory fitted radio/cassette head unit in the car.

It's branded as a BOSE.

Are the model numbers and fitting instructions on the FAQ site applicable to a UK spec car ?

Not sure if the UK specs differ or not from the US car.

But I know this my older Alpine CD changer works in my X with no problem.
