Is it worth it?

Car looks like it's "dirty" for the miles and age. Look at the inside of the vents and the top of the radio etc.... I'd have to get it for a LOT less to feel good about it.

Dear all,

To clear things up, i was the prevoius owner of this car (the one who totaled it). I originally bought the car from a buddy in apr of this year... He sold it to be at a good price because he lost the lowere half of the front bumper at the track. I drove the car for roughly 3 weeks before i wrecked it. Insurance paid me out 58k for the car, there was frame damage as well as damage to the right front fender and driver side door. The engine still started up right away after i lost the car on a freeway onramp. So i believe the engine and its internals are fine, but i was told by the dealer (Acura of Cerritos) that the frame was bent and the front left suspension was bent.

So at that point insurance "totalled" the car because there was over 45k in damages and I used the money to buy a used 97. If you have any other questions please pm me. I hope this clears a couple of things up.

thanks

Wow, 45K sounds like a lot more than the 7K the scammer was talking about in the other thread. Been wrecked twice and has had frame damage. Good to know, thanks.

I work for the insurance business as an auto damage adjuster. Frame damage on a NSX is a big deal since they do not sell each front rail individually. They come as an entire assembly which includes the aprons. That item alone cost $12,000 list, and god knows how many hours is required to install it.

7K including parts to fix a car is nothing. A mild sideswipe can cost that much. And without photos of the accident we have no idea if those rails on the NSX was repairable or not. You can have frame damage and get the car pulled straight but if the damage is too severe you can't fix it and plus the fact that its made out of aluminum i question how much you can heat it up and pull on it before it starts to compromise its integrity.

My 2 cents
