My friend, who is an avid Nissan enthusiast, posted this and I want
to rebuttle, but I need some solid info so I don't look like an ass. :frown:

BTW in JGTC, Nismo>NSX

Links? Articles? Results?

He's saying Nismo owns the NSX is JGTC. This is not true, right? :confused:
I just wanted articles or results to backup my belief. :frown:

Your gramar is horrible, leading to a very confusing question. NISMO has absolutely nothing to do with Honda, nor do they manage or run any NSX's in what was the JGTC and is now the Super GT. This is the equivilent of saying TRD runs Nissans and M-Tec runs Toyotas. In short (if I can even understand your inquiry) your friend is a moron of the highest order.

Go to the official website, supergt.net. You don’t even have to know Japanese, since there’s an English version. In addition to current team info and race results, it has an archive section that goes back to 1997.

Wow, let's try and understand the point more clearly.
First off, before insulting my grammar, try spelling the word correctly. Thanks. :smile:

Secondly, by own, I don't mean the literal term, I mean
"are better than", "can beat on a consistent basis", "are more superior". :cool:

Not in terms of Nissan ---> Infiniti, Honda ---> Acura, Toyota ---> Lexus. :rolleyes:

Ojas, thank-you for the link. I will visit that site and gather the info I am looking for. :biggrin:

I didn't intend for this post to be brain-racking, however I can see how my
vaguely worded phrases and sentences could have been interpreted as such. :tongue:

xxx I felt like your post was clear and I keep checking back to see if anyone has answered you yet. I don't know the answer, but I did hear that the NISMO 350 has been finishing better then the NSX's lately. :frown:

Thanks for the support. At least I know I'm not that far gone. :biggrin:
Anyhow, in the midst of my research, I found out the following:

2004 Results:

GT500 1st place ---> Xavani Nismo Z
GT300 1st place ---> Ebbro M-TEC NSX

I'd say, thus far, we're 50/50! :smile:

Oh, and according to the website Ojas directed me toward
(SuperGT.net), the 2005 season starts in roughly 18d:7h:1m! :eek:

This is why I hate all thet "leet" internet jargon (as well as rap - similar but another story)

People make up there own variation of a language, or new slang/definitions for existing terms, expecting it to become some sort of standard that everyone else should know and adopt as a standard as well. :mad:

Thank god for www.urbandictionary.com otherwise I'd have no clue what was going on.

I'm sure some of the more "in the know" Prime members can correct me here but:

Although I don't keep up with JGTC very much, as a former employee of one of those Japanese companies mentioned who had nothing better to do at times but browse the company's motorsport page, yes - the NSX does get beaten by the Supras, Skylines and 350Zs.

I would get company emails on a weekly basis regarding what was going on around the world - from US Corporate (Torrance CA) to Global HQ in Japan. JGTC was mentioned from time to time and I noticed Nissan followed by Toyota always seemed to be in the top spots. This was 2 years ago.
Also keep in mind the "big three" usually have more than one team with the same car.

And much like on the road and in the showrooms, even in JGTC Honda isn't as competitive, choosing not to keep up with the times. Although it is turboed, some of the NSXs are still using the 3.0L powerplant. Nissan has at least freshened up from Skylines to 350Z cars with larger displacement, and Toyota has even gone to V8 powered Supras.

Get with the times Honda!
