Is it safe to chemically strip paint off dry Carbon Fiber?

I have a dry carbon fiber wing painted yellow. The paint is surfaced very smooth, but I would like to strip off the yellow paint safely and cleanly. I'm not sure if the wing would be presentable just that way, but I was hoping to give it a try. If the CF looks ok, maybe I could recoat it with glossy look. Worst case after stripping, I would paint it black. I could paint it black right now ontop the yellow as well...

AFAIK it's safe to do, but you'll have to do small areas at a time and regulate the amount of time the stripper has in contact with the surface. Don't let it start to penetrate through the paint and into the CF, just through the paint itself. I recommend stripping the underside of the wing first, there you can get used to using the product in an unseen area.

Also, what stripper do you plan on using? my recommendation would be to use a good quality paint stripper, not a more powerful "paint and epoxy" type stripper. Good luck!
