Is it possible to convert an auto to manual?

Greetings,

New to site and was hoping to get some advice as to whether it might be possible to convert my 91 auto to 5 speed manual? Bought the car a couple of years ago and could not pass it up as it was absolutely mint with 17K at a great price. Now after a couple of years, I'm still wishing it was a 5 speed.

Has anyone done this conversion or know of someone who has? Thanks.

Yes, it's possible. However, in most cases you would be better off financially by selling the automatic car and buying an otherwise-similar manual car, rather than putting all that money into the swap.

(Don't forget that the 270-hp engine in the manual cars is not the same as the 252-hp engine in the automatic...)

Yes it is, the procedure is called a "trade in" thats the cheapest way to do it.
