Is anyone going to the Motorola Indy 300 at the Infineon Raceway 8/24 - 8/26

Since I live in SoCal, I’ve posted this question in the Southwestern US section, but so far nobody from the south appears to be going to these races. I'm driving up from LA to SF on Thursday August 23, in the afternoon. I'm not sure if I'm going up the gut (Interstate 5) or up 101. I was hoping to meet up with any Bay Area Primers who are also planning on attending these races. I’ll be staying each night with my son in the Twin Peaks area of SF.

I doubt that we would be able to meet up at the track itself since we would not likely have control over where we could park. So, for Sunday perhaps we can meet somewhere in route to the track, possibly for breakfast if everyone wants to get up that early, then caravan the rest of the way.

J, if you’re coming from the east via 580, and Ken and I are coming from the west via the GG Bridge, based on Map Quest, we can meet somewhere in the vicinity of San Rafael. J, if you’re coming from the east via the 37, I’m not sure where we could meet.

Ken, since I believe your coming from Half Moon Bay, I suspect we can hookup somewhere along the 280 if you would like. I’m staying in the Twin Peaks area, which is close to Glen Park. I can ask my stepson (with whom I’m staying with) if there is an easy on/off ramp in that area that we can meet at.

It looks like I may not be able to meet up Sunday morning to caravan up, as my friend wishes to have us stay at a hotel nearby.
In addition, it is likely he is driving (either his Murcielago or his McLaren SLR, WOW!), so it is his discretion when we arrive to the event. Sorry about that guys.
However, we can still try to find each other at the event.

Hey, if I owned those two cars, I would expect my preferences to take precedence too! J, sure lets at least try and catch up with each other at the races. For Sunday’s race my stepson and I will be seated in the Brown Terrace. Where are your seats?
