Pros:
1) Will "Dress up" your engine bay
2) Gives a nice throaty sound
Cons:
1) Draws in hot air from the engine bay
2) Will not increase performance (the stock airbox is proven to be almost perfect on the NSX) and will likely decrease performance due to the hot air induction.
3) Costs $200+
4) requires installation
5) Not CARB (CA smog) legal. Not sure about other states.
6) The welds on the vacuum lines are very sloppy.
Agree with Hapa88 and Jinks.
This is a bling expenditure.
You're buying a look, and a noisier intake.
The manufacturer can't provide any HP gains because there isn't any.
All this intake does is allow warmer less dense air into your engine, and removes the benefit of the cooler air and harmonics built into the OEM intake by the Honda engineers.
I think this is an exact non intended copy of the Fujita. However s2carbonworks is a vendor here so I am not looking to bash his products. It's a buyers market and if you want more bling and sound, this kit offers that. I used to have the k&n intake and loved it. It was aggressive and throaty. Then I switched back to all new Oem intake. I was disappointed on the Oem. That was until I had my ctsc installed and I had Shad at driving ambition redo basically the whole top side of the motor. To make a long story short, my intake is filthy with sticky molasses type crud everywhere. Although I personally think the short ram intake I had pulled harder, after seeing the result of such I decided to stay Oem.
But this could have been due to myself over oiling the filter. Which is why I try not to detour buying nsx products from a good vendor here. If you like it, buy it. It's only a couple hundred bucks. It's like going out for a nice dinner for that price. You may get great service and you may not.
