They have track maps for most of the major tracks in the world.

From the site:
Harry‘s GPS Lap Timer is a iPhone or iPod touch with tom tom gps car kit tool for lap timing. Offering advanced data recording, it is the ideal companion for amateur racing. Utilizing GPS, Lap Timer will automatically stop your laps and intermediate times. With laps stored in a database, you can track your progress while improving your lap times corner by corner. Using your existing iPhone/iPod touch, LapTimer is an extremely inexpensive option compared to standalone solutions. Lap Timer version 10 introduces the powerful concept of certified Track Sets.

Check it out. $12 for the app plus a iPhone or iPod with gps kit

Any update on this? We have heard mix reviews at other forum. Mostly related to weak GPS/Sat signals. What about availability of tracks? Is it easy to create a new track setup? Looks like version 10.2 is out. Thinking of buying it. Thoughts?

I bought Harry's lap timer before my outing last week-end at the Le Mans track in France. The application seems to work as it recorded my lap times BUT there were wrong because the sw got confused on the track length?
It's most probably my fault but given that there is no manual....
At least it recorded my top speed on the track.
Anyone who knows how to set it up?

Cody, try Trackmasters from Trackaroo. $7 to start with, but there are a lot of optional add ons. Most seem to like the app.
