Introducing the Exedy Twin Disk Organic Clutch for the 1991-1996 Acura NSX.

Last December we worked with Exedy USA on prototyping a new clutch for the NSX, dubbed the Twin Disk Organic Clutch. The primary purpose of this clutch is to provide an OEM replacement clutch, featuring ZERO NOISE during clutch release, as well as factory-smooth modulation and engagement. Exedy has also catered to the performance enthusiast, as they have built-in 425ftlbs of wheel-torque capacity! It seems Exedy has finally listened to us over the years, and they hit a home run with this clutch!!!

- Clamp load: 1766lbs (7850N)
- Max torque capacity: 637lbsft (863Nm)
- Recommend torque capacity @ wheels: 425 lbsft (575Nm)
- Weight of assembly with flywheel: 29lbs
- Pedal effort +20-30%UP
- Discs measure 200mm in diameter
- Strap drive pressure plate and intermediate plate to eliminate plate rattle during disengagement.
- Organic friction material with sprung hub clutch discs offer very smooth engagement.

The test NSX in question was a 1994, with 169,000 miles on the clock. The car feels and drives like stock. The pedal pressure is slightly firmer than stock(+20%), but it is NOT a negative attribute. It seems to “tighten” the driving experience. The car has been on the road since, with multiple track days and has leaves the owner smiling every time. Installation is straightforward, so anyone with any experience in NSX clutches will breeze through this installation.

i bought one from cody. should be installing tomorrow or Friday. install seems easy just like any clutch. no alignment tool needed cause the disc are riveted to the flywheel and the other disc is riveted to the pressure plate. Ya should really look into this clutch!! pedal is supposed feel like stock and handle the extra power!!
 
I was wrong about not needing alginment tool.install was easy. theres no holes to intalize the clutch so I guess it doesn't need to be intalized.
 
ahh man this clutch feels amazing guys!! compare to the factory pedal feel to this pedal, theres is increase of resistance of course. Cody said 10-30% I think. I more wanna say 25-40% increase in pedal effort. of course my nsx been down for a year and I forgot the pedal of factory but I daily a s2k(stock) and the pedal is barley harder then the s2k. for a clutch the handle power it has to be stiffer. in my past I had mustangs and those are the world's most hardest pedal in the world with a high performance clutch. for this clutch that handles 600hp ball park this clutch feel amazing and I would say it feels like the clutch I always wanted in the mustang but never had cause it was cable. over all I love feel of the clutch. its not stiff but not soft. its in the middle perfectly. like Cody said I guess exedy finally listened and made the clutch for us!
