I was driving this morning when something ugly appeared in my rear view mirror. Is that Dame Edna behind me? A Hyundai on a bad hair day? No, it was a new BMW 5-series. AAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH. It's so ugly I almost drove into a ditch trying to get it's image out of my mirror.

Knowing this problem afflicts all NSX owners I could not rest until I found a solution. Here it is - a plastic cover that slips over your mirror, saving you from unsightly incidents. Until these abominations have all been crushed it might be the only way to go.

haha

another anti-Bangle person.

I'll let you have your fun... but I still think he's one of the best/most influential designers today.

Bangle has been "promoted" and does not supposedly influence design anymore. In Germany they use his name as a verb for basically saying you were beaten with an ugly stick - "you Bangled that painting".

What's worse - other companies are starting to copy it. Dare I say even the Acura RL copied that picnic table they duck taped to the rear deck of the 7 series.

I guess it is just me, but I really like the look of the 5 series and 7 series in particular. However, I just wasn't real crazy about how they drove. Not bad, but not as good as other cheaper cars with more and better features.

Never heard of that one but we used to call BMW Bangle muss weg, (Bangle has to go).

The Bangle design started to grow on me and I like it now, hated it in the beginning. Bangle is a genius just like rickysals said, he made a design for the future 4 years ago that is up to date now.

I don't completely despise the bangle look. In my opinion if you could tone it down a touch it can be quite pleasant. and yes, i've seen a handful of other carmakers recently exhibiting a very similiar design influence.
