^^^^^Yes, I think most people would agree that Honda is a "big corporation". If it is not their decision to promote, then who's is it? Should they have hired a consulting firm? Asked the janitor? From what you are saying, Honda should not have been involved in the decision to make him the head of interior design because he was not qualified since he never drove as NSX before even though it sounds like he begged for the job and has the training and education for the position.
I never said Honda should not be involved in making the decision, I'm saying the made the wrong decision involving people that have in the past been mentally un-involved in the NSX and were surprised to learn how cool a car is. Honda originally commissioned Pininfarina to design the original, now we've got this guy. Large corporations are often very overly bureaucratic and slow, unfortunately I think here it shows.
