I've had an intermittent flickering of the door/trunk/hood/engine bar ajar indicator on the combometer for awhile now. I've checked what grounds the service manual indicates for the tail lights, and haven't found any abnormalities... has anyone else had/seen this before? I'm thinking about pulling the meter itself and seeing if there's anything obvious going on there. I've got a good battery and good voltage at idle from the alternator. I'm open to any suggestions at this point. It's never gotten to be more than an annoyance, but I'd really like to get the the bottom of it.

Not certain, but this maybe the harbinger of a failing capacitor(s) in the gauge clusters. I read elsewhere (can't remember now) but someone attempted to "fix" the indicator by grounding a connection only to result in a catastrophic failure of the gauge cluster.May I ask what year your NSX is & mileage? I ask because some of these bizarre issues seem to be age/mileage related.

It's a 1992 with 15x,xxx. My friend was saying he'd had a bad meter in one of his s crxs, and the meter in his nsx is a known good unit I could swap for if I had to.

This might help, posted not too long ago in this same group: http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/197796-problem. Mine has been doing the same thing. A couple of months ago the whole LED array flickered on and off at a time when it shouldn't, and more recently, the brake light indicator came on and stayed on until I restarted the car. And neither has occurred since. But I've already talked to Ben about how to get the gauge cluster out so I can send it to BrianK.

I had actually seen that, and debated starting this thread, but decided to anyway since it almost sounds like a lamp failure indicator issue... though it certainly may be instrument cluster circuitry dying as well.
