Interior color for sliver NSX

I have started on my interior but I can not decide on the color of the interior.

I am ordering OEM NSX-R roof liner and the 3 sun visor in black. I am not sure if I should get Red or Black NSX-R seats.

I voted for red seats and black interior.

That way if the red doesn't grow on you, all you have to do is change the seats.

Chris I've watched and read your whole build up thread and copied some of it when I did my ex-91. You have good taste.

I voted Red Type R seats (traditional color) with black carpet. Red carpet would be too much against the Silver backdrop of your car. Black/Black for both seats and carpet would be too much black and take away from the Type R styling cues. Would anyone know they are Type R seats in black? Some of us purists would but the red would distinguish the seats as being special.

Here is a picture of my current S2000 that is Silverstone with red carpet and seats to help you decide if it helps. Please don't mind the condition of the car as I picked it up very very cheap (don't ask) to last me until I return to Canada. Another NSX will be in my garage...

i think that you can just buy 2 sets of covers and cushions, then you could make all combinations:

1 - Everything red as OEM
2 - Everything black as OEM
3 - Black Bolsters with red cushions
4 - Red Bolsters with black cushions

i know it's hard to make a decision, but you can also think that once you are inside of the car, you can't see the outside, so, what do you prefer looking at when you are in it??

about the carpet, go ahead with TFent NSX-R replica one ... in RED

about the NSX-R roof liner, where are you sourcing it? also the black pilars?!

More likely I would go with number 2, everything black as OEM. I really would like to go with red, but I think over time it would get old or look too ricey.

I am going to get OEM NSX-R head liner and sun visors. The pilars I will dye black. I will check with RJP for the type-R stuff.

Admittedly, Silverstone Silver w/ the red interior on the S2000 looks damn good!

I believe the MovIt red carpet (whether OEM-style or NSX-R style) on a Sebring Silver NSX along w/ red replica D.F. NSX-R seat would be a bit much, IMHO.

In terms of seat-covers, door-inserts, carpets, firewall, pillars, roof-liner, sun-visors, shift-boot & e-brake handle, and even dash-stitching - I think contrasting grays (light-black, anthracite, dark graphite, gray, etc') & varying-yet-themed textures (ultra-suede/Alcantara, perforated, leather, vinyl, sport-tech' fabrics, weaves/composites, etc') would be ideal. . .

Just me 2-pence!

Finally made up my mind, I decided to go with Black on Black.

My seats should be ready in a few weeks.
