I thought it was pretty funny, because I really do know what people that act like that and say those things and see nothing wrong with it. 
What do you mean "people trying to make money off the WWW."??? The site is full of satire and rhetoric. It's suppossed to be funny. Although if you don't get the joke, then it's probably on you.

Living in Japan ive had a little experience of being a minority, weird to say the least.
The best part of the site is the links to 'what our friends care about ' (something to that tune) Heaps of reading, good stuff.
