Anyone have a good referrence on intake manifold design? Specifically, I am looking for some theory on plenum size and optimal runner size.

I was able to rent 'Scientific Design of Exhaust & Intake Systems' from my local library. If you don't want to use the library, Amazon.com has it. Great book....though dated, theories don't change much.

Try www.N2Performance.com, Jim McFarland had some really good articles on runner length & plenum size selection, and the effects of accoustical supercharging, and other topics that would influence the intake charge.

He then had other articals on exhaust flow, camshafts, rod:stoke ratio, and other interesting topics.
