Just wondering what those of you under 25 pay for Insurance, as well as if you have any marks on your record.

I just got a real ugly quote back, and am still in shock.

no records and i'm paying 175 per month for 2000 civic coupe, 91 NSX, and renter's insurance with USAA.

I'm 23.

search button will definitely help you on this one.

Oh no, not AGAIN!!!

This is getting ridiculous. New topics get re-opened about insurance rates more than any other subject.

Remember the "search" function - it's your friend. :D And it can find you such golden oldies as...

Finally, to quote Mr. nsxtasy:

"Rates are going to vary depending on company, state, town, age, driving record, coverages and limits, etc.

There's a very easy way to find out how much it will cost for you to insure an NSX. Just call your insurance company and ask. They can tell you, even without you having to buy the car. Or you can check an online service such as http://www.insweb.com"

His advice about checking rates with other companies using an online service like http://www.insweb.com/ (http://insure.com/ is another such service) seems particularly apt in this case. Shop around.

Thank you Forum Nazi!

I am actually calling around right now, but I'd like some other comparisons.

thank you for the links.

I'm 25 now, but mine when I was 24. I pay $145/mo for a 97 NSX-T 3.2 and an 01 Eclipse GT. I have no marks and use Travelers. I do get a slight rate reduction becuase I also have my homeowners policy with them.

I had a very difficult time getting quotes.
I'm 21 and told them I have a clear record over the past 3 years and was still getting 450+/mo quotes for comp/col out here in TX. - Although I do have some minor violations that occured over a year and a half ago, I was told by my lawyer it shouldn't be present at all on my record since it was dismissed in court. (2 speeding and 1 no turn signal)

I even tried grundy worldwide to which a very rude lady scoffed "We don't insure anything by Acura." I tried telling her about the nature of the NSX and she went on to repeat herself and say "nothing from Acura, Honda, Nissan or Toyota..."

I'm very surprised at how good some of the guys rates are on here (based on the FAQ).

Have you been driving since you were 16? I got my license at 16. I have a friend the same age who did not get her license until she was 18 and she pays higher rates. She pays more becase she has not been driving for as many years.

But, as Forums Nazi pointed out, there are so many factors that determine your premuim. Even your credit score can have an affect on what you pay. I would just keeping trying.

When I got mine, the lady on the phone had to get a senior underwriter to review my policy because of the original value of the car. I was worried at first, but they eventually approved me.
