no, sorry i don't...
i wondered the same thing about the plane. Looking at how the wing & engine are crushed at the back and splicing along the side, i wonder if some kind of scaffolding or something hit it. However i dont think scaffolding would produce such clean, vertical cuts in the fuselage.

anyone (esp. one of our pilot's on prime) have any ideas?

or maybe the owner wanted a plane that can also fly underwater, so he put gills on the side.... :p

NSX207 : Your speculation on the shredded plane is logical and probably correct. I wonder if this was an accident or from a movie stunt.

As for the deer, this was talked about on prime... there are more photos (one showing the deer's inners spilled out  ) ...and from memory ur account of events is correct.

A pilot friend told me about the guy that tried to start his plane but forgot to set the brake before starting the engine.
The plane gets away from him and sure enough, heads toward another plane and shreads it.
Apparently this violated some rules, was late at night and alcohol was suspected to be involved. His license is under review.

I saw this plane up for auction on ebay. Description stated the owner upset his wife/girlfriend and she shredded the plane with a chainsaw. Seems to make sense since the slices are too thin to be prop marks. On the durango pic, the deer jumped off an overpass and landed on the truck. Ouch

Actually, the slices on the plane do seem to be of reasonable size to make the story of another plane's propellors the source of the marks a reasonable one. Kinan's comment seems to make sense.

Regards.

That cliffhanger one is scary! You can see the guy trying to climb out of the truck. I wonder how high up from the ground he was, and if the trailer hitch held long enough for him to escape!

The angry-wife-chainsaw theory never made sense.

The evenly-spaced regular cuts on the fuselage would seem to disprove that theory.

Yeah, even with the lax pre-9/11 airport security I doubt anyone could've snuck into an airplane hanger with a chainsaw and done that much damage, before being stopped.

Here are the pics of the aforementioned deer vs. Durango incident (including the rather gruesome spilt innards photo). Man that driver was lucky to escape without serious injury!

Also ran across this in my search ;)
