Reaching for the battery is a pain in the ass.Instead of leaning on your car and breaking your back to get it out I have an easier way.The battery is in a plastic sort of carry case with two handles, one on each side, tie a strong rope from one handle to the other leaving some slack.Brace one hand on the black part of the car below windshield and reach down with your other arm and grab the rope and pull battery out.Much easier this way and no leaning on front bumper with all your weight.Good luck.

Anyone know if Sears Die Hard will work well enough?

Any battery that fits will work fine. Obviously some tend to last longer than others - usually in direct proportion to their price.

I used to be Sears DieHard fan/consumer.
But after being turned on to Optima's for hard core 4 wheeling, I am willing to pay 2x to 3x the cost of the DieHard for an Optima for all my vehicles.

And for any of you motorcycle enthusiasts out there, my experience on Sears DieHard batteries for motorcycles was very poor. For motorcycles, I recommend sticking with Yuasa, the standard battery installed in Japanese motorcycles.

The Diehard cost $100 CDN for 8 years of service. Diehard's here were rebadged ACDelcos and are no longer available so I wil not buy another Diehard. The Acura NSX battery was also a rebadged ACDelco for $130 CDN and it is still working after 8 years. Now Acura sells a generic battery that looks fit for a Yugo.
Why is it so difficult to get a descent battery? I want a Panasonic.
I was happy with the ACDelco in spite of it almost burning my car down.

The original OEM battery in the '91 NSX was made by Panasonic, not AC Delco.

Then buy a Panasonic. You can use any brand of battery you want.

This website (near the bottom) lists vendors where you can order car batteries over the internet, and indicates two of them that carry Panasonic.
