Installing aftermarket steering wheel.

I've tried searching but have not been able to find a definite answer. I'm going to be installing a MOMO tuner wheel along with the NSX-R hub. My question is, do I remove the cable reel or do I keep it on. I hear that you have to remove the reel for this hub but what does the cable reel do? Thanks

Hi,

I have the same set up your going to install and YES you do have to remove the cable reel.

The cable reel is what controls the air bag, horn and cruise control.

Once you remove the cable reel you have to do some other DIY mods if you wish to retain cruise and also to get the horn working on the new wheel.

Im not worried about cruise control since I dont use it however, I do want to have a horn. How did you wire up your horn? Thanks

ah I see, I think I will use the ring terminal instead of the copper tube strap. Thanks for the link. It gives me a better idea on how to install the horn.
