I am planning on installing a new antenna mask on my 91 NSX. I already bought the part. I bent the antenna a bit a while ago, but the motor is working perfectly.

Has anyone done this before and can help me with the installation process? It would be nice to get this static away for good!

first off .. I have never installed an antenna mass on a NSX before, but I have installed many power antenna masses on many other cars though..

Here is my generic procedure

1) should have 2 people..
2) unscrew and remove top "ring retainer" holding the antenna mass in place..with a pair of 90 degree snap ring pliers..or a pair of pliers ..

* NOTE: if you use plier cover shiny metal ring retainer with soft clothe to prevent scratching the metal ring retainer..

3) get person to turn on radio..antenna should come out along with "white teeth hard plastic wire"
* NOTE watch the direction in which the "teeth" are facing...

4) place "white teeth hard plastic wire" into hole and get person to turn off radio..this should suck the "white teeth hard plastic wire" down..if not turn on radio and turn off radio..do as many times as needed to suck the "white teeth hard plastic wire" down

5) install top "ring retainer"

If anyone out there can point out any mistakes I have made please do so...
