Frankly, I was a little disappointed with the sound of it, I guess I expected too much from it. The video and audio files all made the exhaust sound awesome, but truth be told I thought my Comptech sounded better especially during the VTEC switchover. Oh well, at least I am saving a few lbs over the CT unit. The CT unit is for sale BTW at http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22728

Here's a picture of the Taitec Lighweight installed:

hey hank, did you get it new? Taitec seems to need some break in before getting louder and more aggressive.

Rubber Chicken: Sorry no sound clips, I believe Dave (NetViper) has some uploaded earlier.

mbartlett4: I current have it one from the stiffest in the front, and two from the stiffest in the rear. I like it for street driving, but I have also used the stiffest f/r settings before and IMO that is overkill for the street. FYI, I also have Bilsteins, so I would recommend you test out your own preferences since every car will behave differently according to how its suspension is set up.

ak: I bought it from Dave (NetViper) last week, he told me that it's been used for only a few hundred miles; hopefully the exhaust will sound sweeter as it ages.

Not sure about the lightweight, I have the JGTC with ~500 miles on it. I think the sound somehow mellowed and smoothed a bit, it doesn't sound as obnoxious as new.

Hard to describe, there used to be a popping sound when I get on the gas in a hurry at the top of the current gear, that popping sound doesn't appear as much.

Anybody out there with the arc titanium exhaust?

How does that sound and does it also have fiber or steel wool filling or does it have a chambered design? Thanks.

The exhaust is far from broken in. Less than 300 miles. I hope as it ages it becomes more of what you were looking for...

I bought this very same exhaust for weight savings and thought the sound was an awesome unforeseen benefit. The sound became even better with the installation of Comptech headers.

I thoroughly enjoy it! I've even gotten a bunch of compliments from the P-car crowd.

I still have the popping sound on my JGTC w/Comptech Headers even after 2k miles

Correction: should've been ~1500 miles. The popping went away, the sound is more smooth, and not as obnoxiouc like I wanted to race everyone on the street :) But it definitely gets the proper respect when I go by.

By better do you mean louder, or a nicer tone. I have the same exhaust, but haven't added headers yet.

It's a deeper tone. My mechanic equated it to a throaty American V8. While I wouldn't go that far, it is definitely deeper in sound.

fangtl,

Ahh, you weren't by any chance up near Mt. Airy a few weeks ago were you? Me and a friend were up that way and "followed" a yellow NSX (all yellow-no yellow black color scheme) down 144 all the way into Mt.Airy. Just wondering if that was you or not.
