This thing is 100x easier to install than the S2000 antenna. There's no drilling with this mod, and it's easy to put it back to stock. I loved mine.

I live in LA and it doesn't seem to be any worse than my Jetta's roof mount antenna. It's not going to receive anything from Mars like the OEM one did, that's for sure, but overall, it seemed pretty good.

It's an amplified antenna, so make sure you apply power to it.

How long did this take to do? My power ant. doesn't even come up anymore and I don't like them to begin with. The metal antennas look kinda cheap and gauty(sp?)

I have one too.. from Lo custom.. Works fine Main bolt was a little difficult to screw in because you are working blind.. but it works out.

I had one of these for a couple months. Worked fine. It was loose the other night and I took it off. I must say, it looks a lot better with the stock antenna fully retracted than with the Shark. I placed the Shark in the trunk under the mat but found that reception was less than optimal. So I invested $10 in a non-telescoping very narrow-based Ford antenna. It's under my trunk mat and you'd never know it and reception is fine.

Does any one know what size the nut is that is at the bottom of the shark attack? I have mine installed but not tightend enough and since it is a PITA to get on there I dont want to take it off to check...thanks

I have the same antenna (Ebay special..$20) and love it. Reception is same if not slightly better than the stock antenna. The only thing I would have done diffeent on yours would be to rotate it slight more towards the centre of the car as on that one overhead rear shot it looks like its canted towards the outside too much.

One of the nicest mods ever, and makes the car look way more modern.
