Installation of a double din deck

Can anyone suggest a shop that will be willing to and comfortable with working on an 03 NSX and will not charge an arm and a leg for installation of a 96mm double din touch screen deck. It requires some customization of the centre console. I looked into the DF centre console at SOS but they won't be ready until the end of the month and that's still a maybe. I was hoping to get it done sooner than later (I'm rather impatient when it comes to playing with new toys...can't help it!) and plus apparently the centre console from SOS apparently prevent the ashtray/electric outlet from opening.

Give Point Zero a call in Waterloo. They have experience with NSXs - and have done some very nice work for members over the years. I believe the owner owns one.

You could PM Biobanker as he had a Nav unit installed in his before he sold it, and may have some input.

Point Zero's owner *used* to own an NSX (username here was NSXRacerboi). I would vouch for their work.

hey sean, anybody in the London area?? im looking to do some stereo mods as well

There used to be Eddy, but not anymore. I"d make the hour drive to Point Zero in Waterloo. Car Stereo isn't the business it used to be. Everyone had their gear ripped off a few times and then gave up - so no custom shops in town anymore really. Just Future Shop.

ok, thats what I thought, will make the drive to waterloo and look them up as well. Been kind off out of the car audio scene for a while since my gti days......

London is a bit far for me...I'd get Auto Sound Design to do it but their hourly rates are pretty expensive. They are charging me in excess of $600 for the cut, paint and installation. I was referred to Rays in Scarborough so I will give them a call and see what they say. Hopefully he's worked with NSXs and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. If that doesn't work out I might have to wait for SOS to get the DF centre console ready for distribution again...which might be more than a month!... :(

I do custom consoles if you need one, other than that the rest of the install is very straightforward.

butter78, Go over to the FutureShop at Scarborough Kennedy and Lawrence location. I got my Compustar done there with a installer name Harris. Tell him Richard with the NSX sent you..Decent guy and willing to work up something with you. Cheers.

Btw, I was thinking of a Double Din as well. Just to get the D-Din going everything would be like over a $1000, Goddamn BOSE 0_0. Ray is ok for pricing but I would pass. KHF looks expensive but I couldnt be wrong. Point Zero somewhat far for me, but I heard has a good rep.

Come and see me for what you need, I'm also located in Waterloo but defiantly no affiliation with Point Zero in any way
