just had the tubi installed, by a local dealer, and now there appears to be oil piddling from the car. approximately silver dollar size mark.

any thoughts on this?? my nsx only has 20k on her, and did NOT have this problem before the muffler install.

HELP!!!!

Nothing in a proper muffler install would cause an oil leak. Are you sure it's oil and not condensation mixed with exhaust dripping from a improperly sealed exhaust joint?

huckster,

Chuck has an excellent point. Make sure it is oil and not exhaust gunk mixed with water. Is it on the passenger side, just after the cat where it joins the Tubi??

Ask me how I know!!!!

If it is, let me know and I can assist you in determining if it is the problem I think it is.

huckster,

The easiest way to determine it is to start the car cold and look under there ans see if "stuff" is dripping out from anywhere in the exhaust system. You will know right away if you carefully inspect the flanges at both ends of the cats.

if your car runs rich as they tend to do as I have found in tuning mine.the 'oil' may be rich carbon deposit mixed with condensation it looks like oil.as stated look for it around flange exhaust.or to get a better illustration run your finger inside your exhaust after a short spirited drive.it will make a believer of you.you will probably come up with a smudge of oil like grease but does not feel so oil like is the best i can describe it and it will be 'wet'
