Not a huge fan of infiniti personally, but when looking at these design line comparisons side-by-side as well as considering when they will actually come out, makes you wonder who is more forward thinking.

I can't find any specs for it, but I imagine it will be along the same lines as the rest of the competition - V6 with hybrid range extender. This is like mid 80s to early 90s all over again

I hope Nissan goes to production with this one. I'd hate to see another MID-4 episode.

Not in my opinion. I think its hella ugly. It looks like a made up fast and the furious body kit car. The NSX has much sharper lines and to me....looks more exotic.

I am just excited Nissan is also considering mid-engine platform. It is a tie for me. I would take both if I could  The deciding factor would of course be the powertrain. Nissan needs to make it a high revving V6 or Honda could edge them out assuming they stick to their their history and tradition of high revving engines.

I will say that the Infiniti's ripply curves are getting a bit redundant with Hyundai, Lexus, BMW and a few others (I'm sure) jumping on the bandwagon. Infiniti should take a lesson from the Z32 300ZX and soften up the body a bit. More elegance and minimalism with a few less complicated detailing and it would look even better. Nonetheless, a good looking concept.

I suppose the same can be said about the new NSX going along with the other side of sharp, angular styling...

...at least it has an interior
i think the side view mirrors are just camera mounts...

more info is supposed to be released in a couple of weeks at the Geneva Auto show (Mar 8)...Acura please please take good notes

I dig the interior.

I like it a lot. the frt of the new NSX is like the Audi V8, a very short overhang = stubby:frown: The rear of the car flows nicely unlike the choppy lines of the NSX.

I think Honda should mod the Indy V-8 platform w/ the flat crank....short, compact, lightweight, high rev......that would make some sweet noise instead of a V6 based like ours 20yr old.

Not sure what engine Nissan has in mind and lets hope it doesn't end up heavy like the GTR.

Like the design much better than the new NSX. Given what Nissan has done with the GTR performance one could only imagine what they will do with this!! This could be something really special!

Hate to say it but unles the new NSX has ridiculous performace specs I think they need to rethink this concept if Nissan pulls this one out of the bag.

NSX looks dated already next to this. NSX looks similar to the Audi and the Nissan looks similar to the 458 Italia. Advantage Nissan.

Honda wasted too much time working on this and should have moved forward a few years back!

That is it! I am in love with Nissan. It looks better than new NSX. Any specs? Or will be made in USA or Japan?

Most articles I read were Emerg-E is a range-extended electric vehicle with a mid-mounted 1.2-liter gasoline engine to charge its batteries.
No HP specs though.. .it's a concept so they can pretty much say anything they want...

Beautiful car though... must say it does look better than the new NSX concept..

Wheels remind me of the Concept Neeper wheels from the mid-late 1990s

IMHO I think the Nissan/Infinite is quite ugly. Not saying I am the biggest fan of the looks of the new NSX, but with if I had to base my decision on looks alone I would choose the NSX over the Infinite any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I also think the infinity doesn't look good as the nsx. It has way too many curves wrapping the car. The design is reminiscent of the jaguar xj220. The nsx although a concept, is pretty much in a production ready body, while the infinity might look good to others because the body is really a "concept" with exaggerated design elements.

the roofline immediately reminds me of 458 italia.

stunning imo.

the real test will be to see them in real life side by side.

both are beautiful!

Picky people. They both look like pretty much the same car with different tweaks here and there. The same somewhat overwrought, overdesigned, busy-for-the-sake-of busy-ness styling.
The old NSX was a study in the avoidance of irrational exuberance. What happened to that philosophy? Would a cleaner design fail against the likes of the Infiniti? The BMW pictured kept a lid on it and yet still looks hot.

Interior looks like a Hyundai/Kia concept interior. Trying too hard, futuristic fugly lol. But the more supercars the better:biggrin:
