FERNANDEZ GIVES BACK ON POPULAR TALK SHOW

Popular racecar driver Adrian Fernandez, who will pilot the No. 15 Lowe's Acura Lola in the American Le Mans Series next year, appeared on Univision's "El Show de Cristina" recently to help make "So?ando Contigo" (Dreaming with You), a heart-warming quarterly special that makes impossible dreams come true, even more special. The entire 60-minute program was dedicated to making the dreams of five very special families come true this Christmas. Fernandez, who represented racing sponsor Lowe's, presented a total of $25,000 in gift cards to two worthy families.

The first family Fernandez surprised gave birth to conjoined twins and has overcome many struggles including a successful separation of their twin daughters. Fernandez and Lowe's provided $15,000 to improve the family's living space and also presented brand new Fridigiare Elements appliances.

Fernandez then dug out another $10,000 in Lowe's gift cards to reward a tight-knit family from Nicaragua known for giving back to their church and homeless shelters. The gift cards will go toward the purchase of all new appliances and other home improvement needs.

"The holiday season is a time for sharing joy and laughter among friends and family, and the look on each person's face today is a testament to how joyous an occasion this truly was," said Fernandez. "We hope these gifts will make a real difference for a lot of good people. I'm just proud to have been a part of it and I'm thankful to Lowe's for supporting such a meaningful cause."

Lowe's Fernandez Racing will make its debut in the American Le Mans Series in 2007 with Fernandez and co-driver Luis Diaz, also of Mexico City, contesting the entire 2007 season beginning with the 55th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 17. Both Fernandez and Diaz boast significant racing experience and are household names in Mexico.
