In The Netherlands in October . . . ideas?

I will be making a trip back to The Netherlands in mid-October. I have been there a few times and would like to get some input as to the places and events I should not miss.

I will be in Amsterdam primarily, but also in Rotterdam, Utrecht and perhaps Den Hague.

I have seen a lot of the more common tourist sights and would like to get the insider's perspective of the 'real' country.

I would also love to get any leads on car-related activities. I have considered going to VSOC in Sassenheim to check out their impressive inventory. Any other ideas?

I would also love to get together and experience some Honda NSXs if anyone is so inclined.

I would love to meet some Euro-NSXers. Too bad I can't bring my car with me . . .

It looks like I will be there sometime around October 14th until perhaps the 21st.

I will have to see if Maastricht will fit in the itinerary, but so far we are pretty open so it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the reply and the offer. I should have the dates of travel nailed down by September 1st, if not sooner, so I'll let you know what days I will be free.

It would be nice to see a Skyline. They were never officially imported to the US, so we don't think of them as common, as others do who have had them in country for so long.

I'll post and PM when I get the dates set.

My trip is now confirmed. I will be arriving on the 11th of November and leaving the 16th. I will be based in Amsterdam, but able to make a day trip or two to anywhere within reason.

I realize the weather will not be ideal, but if anybody knows of any car-related events or wants to get together for a drink or a meal, let me know.

I would love to meet some Euro NSXers and see the real HONDA NSX.

I´m in Grosseto from 11 to 14th november, but happy to meet you on monday 14th. I`m in the south of Belgium, so Amsterdam is a long distance, and I don't like driving in a big city.... if you want to meet, just say where. AMS, and go from there?

I live near Amsterdam and I really wanted to meet you for a ride in my CTSC NSX, but unfortunatly I have had a surgery on my spine colum (Spondylolisthesis) last october. I have to lie down untill the end of december. So sadly I can not meet you to let you see some of the nicest Dutch drivers roads.

I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I try to get to Holland in the spring and the fall. I should be back at the end of March. I will definitely have to take you up on that ride. I never get on the highway in a real car, only public transportation.

For the others that will be around, I will have internet access while I am there (as you would expect), so we can play it by ear when I get there. Saturday or Monday should work out, and I can either GTG in Amsterdam or take a day trip somewhere else.
