I have just returned from picking up my new NSX from a dealer in Chicago. A great buying experience! A friend and I drove back to San Diego in 2 1/2 days and I must say one of the best drives of my life. We had a radar detector that saved us countless times and also built confidence in driving with a little vigor.
I have emailed the NSX Driver asking if they would want a full expose of the 2400 mile trip, complete with photos, but have not heard back from anyone. If someone would be interested, please let me know because I've discovered roads that I didn't know existed and thought that any NSX owner would have a smile on his/her face the entire time.
This trip was something I've wanted to do my whole life and now that wish has been fulfilled!

I made the trip from Columbus, OH, to Orange County, CA, back in December '05 when I picked up my '94 - certainly driving an nsx makes the trip all the more enjoyable.

Heck yeah!! Very cool. You picked up the NSX and took it home in the best way possible. Take heart in knowing that you have taken a long distance trip that probably 2% of the NSX's produced have ever done. :smile:
