I'm off to my BMQ for the next 3 months.

I'm not sure where I'm getting posted yet. I've been assigned to the PPCLI, just not sure which batallion. It's either here (hopefully) or CFB Shiloh out near Brandon, MB.

I'm back on April 11th, so that's perfect timing IMO. I miss our shitty winter and get back just in time to pull the car out. I don't know how the Army works in regards to my training after that, so hopefully I'm not too sparse around the meets.

See you guys then.

Ryan, take care and enjoy the experience.
3 months of hard training is what we all probably need.
I'm back at the gym everyday, but i need someone to yell at me more.......
opps, I have Heather for that if I need it or not. lol
Call me if you need anything.
1-800-661-9928 works in Sask, Ab, and B.c.

Good luck to you, your car and your friends will all be here waiting for you in the spring.

Good luck and have fun!
Remember NOT to speed on base - the Meatheads will LOVE pulling over an NSX - if you're going to do the Urban Combat training in Ontario email me - my guys run it so I'll tell them to expect you! :)

Good luck on your BMQ. Just remember, when they are yelling at you, it's not personal, they are just trying to get you ready for what's to come.

My drill Sgt, MWO Baumgarten, was from the PPCLI. I will never forget him. Immaculate uniform, incredible physical condition (especially for a man in his late 40's), and the nicknames he had for us:
Bannana Head
Plug and
the classic "You Sir are sad. Now remove your sunglasses, they intimidate me!"
or, "You Padre, get off my god damn parade square."

I think you're going to be very busy for the next year, but you'll get some leave to enjoy you NSX. Have fun!

The best Basic story I have is one of my guys served in the Norwegian Army (its mandatory service) and the drill sergeants there are forced to do any punishment they dish out WITH you - so "drop and give me 100" actually means "drop and do 100 with me" in Norwegian! ;)

You're not gonna be so lucky!

Technically when we hand out physical punishment in the CF, we're supposed to do it with them, but we usually make the whole division or platoon do it and let the guilty party stand there and watch.

Ohhh, that burns!
