Well I'm finally ready to turn my lust into reality and buy a NSX. What can I realistically expect to get for $25k? KBB says a good condition 1991 or 1992 with about 70k miles...

That price sounds just about right.
Just be sure to set aside or be prepared to spend $3-5K to take care of any deferred maintenance.

I got my 1992 5 speed 118K miles 2 years ago for 21,000 after taxes and crap was 23,500
then pumped in 2500 for TB?WP valve adjustment just to be safe.
and then the " I wanna upgrade this " and I want to upgrade that" gets into your skull.
you get the upgrade bug real quick.
I have upgraded my whole interior to the 2002 except the instrument cluster to blue, which will be doing that soon.
upgraded my doors to the 2002 doors, upgraded my spoiler/trunk to the 2002+ style, 2002+ rear valance, 2002+ steering wheel, 2002+ e-brake.
I already have a 6-speed tranny waiting to go into my 92 soon.
I need the to buy the OEM side skirts not the replica stick-on style and rear lights and I am done. I will finally be happy with my NSX.LOL
the money I have into my NSX is in OEM parts is off the wall, I dont like replica anything.

Thanks for the advice, the call for the 3-5k for deferred maintenance makes a lot of sense.
