ilya - explain your avatar

those twins are a leader of a little army in burma or some other southeastern asian country. they are thought to be invincible against bullets and are chain smokers. i think they were 8 years old in that picture taken last year.

That's correct. He's one of the preteen warlords in Burma. No connection. The first time I saw the picture I found it so amusing I decided to use it. The image of the kid puffing on that cigar with his followers around him just kicks butt.

I fail to see how it is amusing, but to each his own. Perhaps if you better understood the problems in that region of the world, you might understand.

I don't want to get into a political discussion - it's way too off topic, and they don't go anywhere.

erobbins,
I don't disagree with you in the slightest.
I didn't see the article referencing it until later.

Taken as an image in of itself, I found it funny. It had no connections to me, just amusing to me. I thought it was photoshoped at first and was not real. It was just the kick of the day. I may change it in the future once I get a good pic of my car.

Hey ilya, where can I see the full picture?

That's pretty much all I have. i just had to shrink it to fit as an avatar?

You could do a search for luther htoo and probably find info on it. I have no relation to the picture. Aside from the fact that I like the picture, the reason I used it for my avatar is because I've kind of always been the young warlord around the office.
I've always been far too young compared to the position I've held, and managed others much older than me.
Coworkers have always joked around about my age calling me a baby, kid, youngen and such. All in good humor of course.
It fit with my persona at work and I liked the picture, so I used it.
If people take offense to it I'll take it off and use something else.

It's funny, keep it. If we can't laugh at a situation where a kid is a warlord, then the Orwellian PC mind control drones have won.

Frankly, I'd rather live in a world weird enough to have prepubescent warlords than in one where we can't call a ridiculous situation a ridiculous situation.
