he's soooooo DEAD

Yeah, but he can buy another more easily than MOST NSX owners can if insurance did not cover it.

If I remember right, I think the car had less than 100 miles or something crazy when the owners son crashed it.

Insurance??? Premiums on an Enzo would probably be more than the price of an NSX!!! He probably didn't have insurance other than liability. And I would bet my NSX he didn't have his son listed as a driver of the Enzo. Then the premiums would be even worse. That's just a big --it sandwich and he's gonna have to take a bite!!!

I wonder how much it sold for wrecked? I was at an auction when the BMW Z8's were red hot and just came out and a smacked up one sold for roughly $105K, nuts!!

The engine would be nice to have from it, if you could get it at a reasonable price. You could drop that in your NSX!! Yikes!!!

yeh, i remember seeing this enzo on ebay for sale approximately a year ago. i wonder how much it really would have costs to fix it back up. i know cause of the salvage title, the car would never be at full value, but just to own an enzo perhaps at half the cost or so would be interesting...

There was a post on Prime years ago about the effort that Ferrari goes through to fix crashed cars. In that case it was an F40. I'm sure that Enzo could get back on the road and be just as good as new.

I'm sure that can't be said for the ass of the kid that wrecked it!

I believe you're both wrong. They only made 359 ;)

399 Enzos were made. Might have been thing about the F50 which was 349. 150 in 1995 and 199 in 1997(Dont ask me why i remember that, but I think I read that somewhere, numbers might be backwards).

The picture of the carrera GT wrecked makes me even more sad because O saw that was on some street. If a Carrera GT had been wrecked doing some world record lap at Nurburgring then I wouldnt be as mad, but not wrecking on some city street, thats stupid.

The official word is that 399 Enzos were made. Ferrari's belief is that it's good luck to make one fewer than the number that they think they can sell.

Any car can be fixed and be as good or even better than the original. the question is how much it will cost... IMO. Think those F1 and other race cars, how many of them being wrecked in a season?? Would you think they would push a less than perfect car in next race?
