IDetailing microfiber towels. & (ONR) Optimum No Rinse

Honestly as a detailer im surprised at some prices people put up for some MF products. Some people might NOT know the difference from the costco packs to the ones weaved in korea aka top brand. It took me awhile to find me the right source of MF i was happy with and that was up to par yet it wouldnt be stealing from your wallets.

Just knowing the NSX crowd i know they want the best of the best and the detailing threads dont seem to have much traffic. And id like to change that and try to answer as many questions as well.

I have
-16x16 blue high q microfiber polishing towels
-20x40 the "Elite" waffle weave towels.
i want to stop people from using the absorber/Cheap weaved MF towels.

for NSX package deals PM me. I also carry Charlie Soap a great detergent to use on you MF towels to get all the dirt/oils out without damaging it.

**** adding ONR into this post and just combining ****

Got the good news that now ill be able to carry this stuff for my fellow NSX members.

Optimum No Rinse (ONR)
is one of the most durable products for any kind of car enthusiast out there.
ONR is widely used for Clay bar lube, Quick Detail Spray and of course to wash your car. ONR is used by the top detailers in United States and It’s well proven that it doesn’t scratch your paint and gives a nice high gloss.
This unique product contains substantive polymers which bond to the paint and protect it during the wash. Therefore, No Rinse™ Wash & Shine offers greater protection and lubricity than conventional car washes leaving a sleek & glossy finish behind afterwards. The wastewater in the bucket can be easily disposed of into a sink, where it will be treated!

Additional benefits are faster washes, ability to wash anywhere at anytime including washing inside the garage during the cold months, no messy water runoffs, and greater looking car finishes. These are some of the reasons No Rinse™ Wash & Shine is being used by many professional detailers across the country

All over our detailing forums. autopia , all of the high paid detialers use this stuff.

here are some before and after pictures and a link to some testimonies.

I carry the 32oz and 1 gallon
<a href="http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x207/idealdetailing/?action=view&current=norinse.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x207/idealdetailing/norinse.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

17+ shipping and 40+ shipping.

Can I ask how this is applied/removed? There are many times I want to spruce up the car with out leaving the garage.

there a couple different methods.

ONR like to have where its 2 gallons with 1 oz of ONR just 1 bucket but i like to take it the extra mile as a detailer.

I take it the two bucket method.

One bucket is with 2 gallons 1oz ONR and the other bucket is Just plain water . 5gallons

I use a MF mitt and dip it in the ONR mix apply it a small section panel area , not to much pressure as the polymers will wipe the dirt right off and then i dunk it in the plain water(dirty water bucket) to clean it out some.
Then dry that section with my waffle weave towel.

then same method applied to each panel. It really gives a really nice gloss

This product is seriously My #1 thing i need/love.

i will have a video on me doing it on my nsx . before/after pictures .
Ive done it a lot of times on my car but just never really filmed myself.

Could you elaborate your MF version ? Why are they different from the costco/ top brand? Do you have any pics?

Sure, many of the Microfiber products being offered on the market, especially some types designated for “automobile use” are made from non-split (non-absorbent and ineffective) yarn. The manufacturer forgoes the expensive “splitting” procedure to save money, and the result is a failing product. Not only does the blend lose over half of its absorbing and cleaning ability but it weakens with use, greatly reducing the life of the product.

AKA what ive seen with the costco brand, they seem well for cleaning the interior/windows and such but im very anal about what touches my paint.

Once you use one of these towels i assure you can feel/tell the difference. The human hands cant really tell thats it over +200,000 fibers per square inch of fabric but the paint can... Usually on brands that mass produce and sell them on a lowercost have less fibers per sq inch.

I'll have pictures of them on fri/sat.

Ive bought from couple detailing sites and their own MF towels are nice as well as mine.
but their prices are just up the roof.

heres the High Q

Some people msged me asking why they should stop using the absorber instead of a Waffle Weave Towel.

The Absorber streaks and picks up whatever is on your paint and drags it along the surface. Meaning more likely chance of swirls / small scratchs. Absorber isn't made of polyster/polyamide so it doesnt have the safe soft touch like Microfiber does. The waffle weave design is meant to absorb tons amount of water with the microfiber plush! One 20x40 should easily dry your NSX.

Also i've been putting up package deals for some of the prime members to whatever fit their needs.
<a href="http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x207/idealdetailing/?action=view&current=packagedeals.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x207/idealdetailing/packagedeals.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
More pics of newer products should be coming here shortly.

thanks
Dan

Hey Dan,
Got my towels, thanks. The waffle towel is nice and large as you said. Just need to get rid of this snow so I can start to use them.
John

Im glad ! let me know how you think of those mitts. Remember properly wash them as well.!

Ponyboy your towels will be sent out tomorrow!

You mentioned a microfiber wash mitt in your initial entry but I don't see any for sale on the website. Any particular mitts you'd recommend?

mmm i had 2 samples sent out to me , i sent both to RJ for some feedback but he says the weather over there is... freezing =X.

I guess i can recommend some diff mitts depending on the way your washing your car.

The way I wash my car is the two bucket method, Zaino car wash soap and a lambswool mitt from Walmart. It's the weakest link in my car wash regimen. I do use high quality microfiber towels that I bought from a Corvette forum vendor (won't mention the name here so your thread doesn't get sidetracked) and for drying, I've moved up in the world from the Absorber to the Air Force Master Blaster (also purchased from a Vette forum vendor) which does a darn good job of blowing the water off the car with high velocity, warmed air.

Any recommendations for wash mitts would be appreciated. If you sell them on your site, all the better.

Lambswool mitt "use" to be the go to mitt. Carries a lot of water/soap but to me i just didnt like ringing it out and when it dried up... it was hard as rock.
But seems like you got everything on control. Honestly best "mitts" would be cleaning is with ur MF towels for now. Im not a fan of those MF mitts that are with mf strings... can never thoroughly clean all the dirt out of those mitts.

the new mitts i sent to RJ is something i personally like...more plush mf fabric on a flat surface. i should have some more soon.

I bought Dan's MF towels and they work as advertised. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and the results.

I used the same method as before but with the MF towels. Rinse the car off, agitate soap (Meguirs Gold), cleaned car with the MF wash cloths, rinse off, and dried with the MF towel. I had to ring out the MF towel a couple of times to get the car dry but it wasn't any big deal.

Dan, thanks for everything. Order me another MF towel!

Good price on the ONR

I would suggest using a grout sponge instead of a mit when doing the 2 bucket ONR method.

ive used both. Its all personal preference really but the grout sponge is good.
