I want to buy an NSX now.

Hi everyone, I'm in the Niagara area. I want to buy an NSX. I would prefer a clean, relatively non modified 97+ Pre facelift NSX in yellow. I'm not looking for something that has had a color change though. Yellow needs to be the original color.

Would there happen to be any members that have something like this that are interested in selling?

I talked to the guy that has the imported from US NSX in Vancouver for sale at his shop Bluestarmotors. He didn't seem all that inclined to sell to me and the car was out of my target price range pretty far anyway.

If I can't find exactly what I want simply because there aren't any yellow cars around (which I suspect) I would be interested in a black or white car from any year pre-facelift.

My question is, is the car I really want.. the yellow one even out there?
I'm sure there are many in the States but how many made it to Canada?

Yellow is easy to find.
White is not.

Importing isnt that hard, but its the exchange rate and taxes that are gonna kill you. 1.3 conversion + 20% tax

What are the exact steps to importing something that isn't 16 years old?

Sorry to tell you this, but the US is where you will find your car.
only 700 cars were ever shipped to Canada in 15 years from Acura. (7.5% of al NA cars are Canadian) There may be only 500 cars left in the country.
If you are looking for a specific color combination, you will need to import a car.

I didnt have to import my yellow 02.

There are a few around, not many.

"Red" would probably sell his already imported yellow 03. He wants a silver one. He is in Toronto

Importing isn't tough if you do it correctly. The exchange & duty do cost you, but you can usually make up for it, as US cars are generally significantly less expensive than Canadian cars since there's so many more of them.

I imported a car last year, it was straight forward, but you must follow the steps.
