I need HELP!!

So if you look at your center consule there is 5 little vertical slats directly underneath the ashtray. What is this? There is some sort of little motor thing on the back of it. What is that motor?

Ever since I got this new NSX it has made a loud humming motorish noise. Well I unplugged that little motor thingy behind the center counsule little vent thing below the ash tray. And the humming noise stopped. Thats was great except for that most of had something to do with the Climate Control cause that won't work if it is unplugged.

but I still would like to know why my climate controll doesnt work when aspirator is unplugged cause I was reading about where people just unplug the aspirator for good and do not have any problems with them.

There are a number of threads out there if you search on "aspirator fan". Some of them show you how to put in a new one if you want.

I just used compressed air (like the cans you use to clean your computer keyboard) to clean the fan. Then I did a tiny spray of WD40 for lubrication of the fan. The noise completely went away. It's been silent for the last 3 years still.

what he ^ said. does it work again if you plug it back in? it could just be pure coincidence, but you might just be needing to send your ccu to briank for an easy repair.

That little fan draws air across a temperature sensor for the climate control unit so it can control the temperature in the car and I recommend you have it plugged in and working. I charge $35 to do a clean and adjust so it will work silently and properly. If you send it me the climate control for repair and and send along the aspirator I do the tune up for free.

I tried that, but it didn't work. Then I had Briank do my climate control board and he rehabbed my aspirator fan (like he mentioned), and it was noise-free after that.
