I know that these things are supposed to be Red

That's really nice! That would look awesome in a Monaco Blue Pearl NSX!
I don't care what anyone else thinks... nice job!

I wonder if 96GoldNSX has given his golden NSX this sort of treatment?!

Neo,
hahaha but no, my engine bay has few polished pieces and it is red...:( It is so hard to paint those parts, they get fish-eyed really easy (oil)
but yeah, nice engine bay indeed...:)

Now THAT was a quick reply. :D
I think your gold NSX gob-smacks everyone so they don't even notice the engine bay.

wow, 2:15 am and you're still up Mike? I am at work messing around on here before doing any real work...haha
SHEs waiting for your arrival...;)

Dan

yes super cool indeed. did you use regular automotive paint to paint those pieces?

Try it

I used Dupli-Color Metalcast Anodized Surface Color System
I bought it at a NAPA auto parts store. Make sure you use the silver undercoat as the paint is a candy like color. It is rated up to a 500 degree operating temperature. I would love to see a candy apple green treatment from the one who likes green in other posts. Off the top of my head it came in (Candy Apple) Red, Blue, Green, Gold and Purple. Please post pictures if you try it

mine is white :)

Yeah... was burning the midnight oil here.
Tell her i'll be right over. ;) Give her my love until then. :D

I think AndyH takes the new award of "hardest engine block to keep clean". :D I like the silver water coolant container. Very stylish.

do you mind let me know the secret of painting the silver wordings?? especially the little ones??

Do you just touch it up with a model making brush or Toothpick??
or you are actually paint them all in Silver, then went and mask the wordings??

I don't seem think thru and find a perfect way of painting them, thanks for your suggestion in advance.

Yes I did paint the lettering & logo by hand using model car brushes and model master paint. Model paint will hold up well since the top cover doesn’t get all that hot. If you are not comfortable painting by hand there is also liquid mask available at a hobby store that could be used. 92NSX I think the candy apple red would look fantastic in a red NSX.
