I feel the need for a drive (NorCal)

wow! mt. hamilton! lots of twisties, awsome drive...... too bad i cant play this weekend :frown:
Sorry for late response. So I will actually going to start my drive from Calaveras just off the 680 (about 8am) taking Calaveras.....by the reservoir then onto Felter than onto Sierra and down into Milpitas stopping for a break at teh gas staion on the corner of Sierra and Piedmont. Than head over to Alum Rock and start the trek up to the top of Mt. Hamilton. Then rest at the top....take a couple pics and head down the backside of Mt. Hamilton opn the 130 till I get to The Junction at the corner of 130 and Del Puerte Canyon to catch my breath. Then continue from there on Mines Rd. all the way into Livermore. From there I may head back to Tracy (taking back roads of course) or over to Hooters for some free wings.
If anyone is interested in joining I will look for people at my starting point (there is a nursery on the right side of the road where you can park) than again at the gas station on the corner of Sierra and Piedmont and then again at the start of the 130 on Alum Rock (there is some parking along the road there on the left).
Gonna take a leisurely quick but safe pace and just enjoy the drive and the day.
Ben text me in the morning if you go just to make sure I actually got up......LOL

Wow! Great drive today. Practically empty roads.........great weather...............really nice.

Here are a few pics of our glorious drive from Calaveras to Mt. Hamilton. BTW - The drive down the backside of Mt. Hamilton over to Del Puerte Canyon was so sweet........roads were great......open and nobody in sight. I had forgotten how nice that road is.

Wow just a great day for a drive today! Thanks to Tariq and his son for joining me on the drive today. We met a cool ZO6 owner and had some breakfast with him at Alice's. Then after our breakfast we did a nice cruise down 84 over to HMB.
I took Hwy 1 up the coast.....through the new tunnel (I think a few people are deaf now) past Pacifica over to the new Bay Bridge and then back home. I couldn't believe how great the weather was in the middle of February.
