for those of you that remember this thread:

http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39708

I decided to go ahead and paint my interior trim at a body shop with automotive paint, clear coat and all. I was trying to decide between a brushed aluminum color and factory grand prix white. Despite all advice to the contrary, I decided to go with white.

I picked up my car today from Chuck at Myer Emco in Nova.

I absolutely love the white. It makes my interior look so much more modern. It is super glossy like a freshly waxed car. Although it's extreme, to a non-NSX enthusiast, it will look like a really exotic stock interior. I hope these pics do justice.

It kida reminds me of extrior color matched Porsche interiors:

Well as long as you are happy that is all that matters. I did get a laugh out of the Miami Vice sound track comment though....

I actually like it!
Nice bold original statement.

looks good.
BTW, is that the NSX-R mesh shift boot with SoS NSX-R replica shift knob?

I agree with the rest in that I don't think it looks as bad as I thought it would. I did think that you were going to do the gauges white too though.

I think it looks pretty good. I saw one white car with white and black leather as well as the painted console. It looked like a zebra died in there.

Does anyone know where can get some high quality white guages? I really don't want to install cheezy indiglo guages from Ebay.

I had mine, in another car, painted by Hollywood Speedo.
I sent them the gauges and the paint. Excellent turnout.

U 'done' good ;)

The colour coding has been one the first things on the to-do list us import-modding guys have been doing 'since 1996!' good too see everyone is catchin' up. :D

You guys are sure something special! Always afraid to try something new or different on an NSX. Funny how on that other thread, alot of you were discouraging him not to do it, but now that it's done, and it does look good, alot of you seem to like it. I wonder how many of you are now going to do something similar?

Actually,if you look at who posted on the other thread, you would find that not too many here posted a response to that thread. ;)
I count one, and that was not a blatent "don't do it".
JLindy just said he wouldn't recommend it in white.

As to the white gauge cluster ,RM used to sell them, look around on prime for a used one or call RM racing and see if they still have stock,I doubt it though.

I think a lot of people just don't want to thread crap hence you don't see a lot of people saying they don't like it. The most important thing is that he did what he wanted to do and he's happy with it. Doesn't matter what other people said, he asked for their opinions and they gave it to him. The guys on here ARE something special, they gave him their honest opinion. :)
