I bought an NSX in Ontario Canada and i live in Quebec Canada. The car is from the US and had a salvage title. In Ontario, in didn't have it so no problem so far.

Now i am trying to get my license plate but they say the car is salvage. OK, everything is fine, they want me to pass the insection for the rebuilt cars. Hmm, i guess i can take it, the car seems to be well rebuilt.

BUT, the problem, they also ask the pictures of the accident and all bills of every used parts that were used to rebuild the car.

I am not the one who repaired it, it was the previous owner in Ontario who had it rebuilt. Of course, they didn't keep any track of the parts they put on it, they didn't have to pass that inspection over there.

What should i do? I have 3 pictures of the accident showing the rear was hit, now i need to find serial numbers or fake bills to show that it was not from stolen parts.

anyone has an idea how i can get out of this mess? I really want to drive that car, it is going well, in good shape but i can't get it plated.

if anyone has an idea, or is ready to rent me his serial number, thanks

This is sad and that's the kind of problems arising when there is different regulations between provinces.

I think our province is thougher in that area.

If you can' t get through this you will have to sell your car to someone living in Ontario.

Where you in a hurry for buying this car / did you pay a consequently very low and attractive price for it?

I'm afraid you'll have to make a lot of work to justify every new pieces origin...

bonne chance

there's always a hole on everything. talk to people around your town and im sure someone will be able to help you out.

or you can sell the car who wants to make it a full time track car.

or register it somewhere else.

I guess this is another of the many risks (financial, safety, etc) you decide to take on when buying a salvage title car. Which is why most people avoid them like the plague.
