In my opinion, nothing beats good ol fashion elbow grease! Besides I don't trust those "new high tech" chemicals that claim to last forever, or fix straches. Ya know? I prefer to do it myself, and use trusted products on my car. Just my 2 cents.

You'd take all that back if you went up there to the show room to see the cars that were done...they had before and after shots... OMG i've never seen such things... its garunteed for 6 years not to have a blemish on your paint... thats impressive... and for $380 it's not a bad price to pay for never having to wax your car again... (literally)

Electro if you do get it done, post your results over time, it would certainly be worth knowing more about. Only local to GA though, eh? I think I would have them do it to one of my lesser cars before I took my NSX in though

They had a caddy in the show room that was done 13 (yes thirteen) years ago, and it looked like it had just been repainted.. now of course I know that could have been a scam but just the way the paint feels - it feels like glass when its done.. i'm usually never an advocate of any product that claims to be the end-all-be-all solution, but i have to say i was really impressed. They had an 87 Honda Accord hatchback (one just like i used to own ironically) and they had half of the car done and half of it not... the paint that was not treated, had bad acid rain damage and swirl marks all over it...couldnt even see the reflecting of much of anything in it... on the treated side, you could read a newspapaper in the reflection... of course you can still see *some* (and only some) of the more severe, deeper scratches - but for the most part, 89-95% of all the scratches that were there are gone... the rule of thumb they said is that if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail before the treatment, it may be a bit visible but not *as* noticable... which i found to be true... so basically, the better the shape of your paint when you go in, the better results...

I mean what kind of company claims that you will never have to wax your car for 6 years?? And they garuntee that bird droppings, tree sap, acid rain, industrial fallout, or any other environmental element will not damage the paint... that is a pretty bold statement.. and they've been doing this for over 20 years...

believe me i will be posting before and after pictures of my nsx after I have it done... the paint on my car is good and all, but its kind of faded ... and when u look at it in direct sun light, u can see that its turned a little brown... the guy at permafinish said it will bring it back to that deep black color once again! small price to pay for a badass look...

i know all of you are still very sceptical... and so was i - thats why i had to pay them a visit...and funny enough they're building is right down the street from where i work... so i stopped in after work yesterday and was blown away to say the least...

I'll keep u guys posted...

This sounds like another company tyring to offer a superior coating like so many I have already seen before. Living in Arizona I get plenty of advertisements/coupons saying how great their paint protections are against rain, UV rays, etc., etc..

While poking around on their website I found something that made me go Hmmmmm. They have a coupon for $50 off but it's for a Valentine's Day Special. The caption on the gift certificate reads as follows:

"This year, why not say "I Love You" with a Perma-Finish gift certificate.

The words "This Year" lead me to believe that this coupon is from Feb. of THIS year (almost 10 months ago). Why would a company that only has one location (GA) and is still in the process of trying to create franchises for this business not have the time to update their website? Why spend the time or money on a website for advertising if you're not going to keep it up to date? I find it hard to believe they have been doing this for 20 years and still don't have any other franchises. Is business THAT good or is this WHY they only have one location? This isn't a product or service you can simply order over the internet like so many other businesses that only have one location. A person has to DRIVE their vehicle to their location, have it estimated, and then wait at least 48 hours for the process to cure before they can drive it back home. I would have to take a week's vacation from work just to get this done to my vehicle being that I live in Arizona. How about that 87 Accord hatchback? Half treated, half untreated. Do they drive it around town like this or is it in the showroom? If my NSX were in a showroom I wouldn't have to wax it for 6 years either, or 60 or 600.

These are all just some of the thoughts going through my head about this service. If you have this done to your NSX let us know how it comes out and show us some pics of before and after. Personally, if I'm not waxing my NSX I feel like I'm neglecting it somehow even if it DID have a coating like this on it. Since all of us here on NSX Prime are either always on our computers reading these comments or sitting in our cars driving them, washing and waxing our cars is the only form of exercise we get.

My $.02

Believe me these are all very valid observations and questions... I am still very sceptical... plus i have a few things to take care of on the paint (a few chips here and there) that need to be taken care of before i get it treated... i also need to have the front emblem put on at my body shop... so i will still be doing some research.. my friend also works there.. so if anything goes wrong i'll raise major hell..!!
