What's new, these duo had fought each other for years and years...

The Creation of the Bull is to take the prancing horse down, when the founder got rejected from a Ferrari dealership...

I'm just not sure when is the horsepower game be ended...

I am just thinking that Honda said the new NSX will be a "Ferrari-killer".

Do you think they might not have been ready for the F430? It is significantly faster than the 360.

you are assuming that Honda is going to build the HSC.

No, I am pretty sure that the HSC is dead. But, I think the next gen NSX is coming. Someday....

Do you guys think that Honda can build something that can beat the competition but at the same time have a price tag that people are willing to pay for and still make a profit on...

NO

I think so as well. And I think that was a good thing too. Over 300hp is perceived as "no more than 350" and unless the HSC was 2100lbs then it just isn't going to be successful. I'd like to see something around 480hp, big brakes, paddle shifted, MR, and 2800lbs. Yeah, I like the sound of that.

Shawn, for once we agree!

I am not sure I am a fan of the paddle shifters yet. When I was in the 360CS, the shifts were violent on the track. Really jerked your head around.

I think besides high HP we also need big TQ. At least 350lbs.

I don't care if it is a v6, i-4, v10, 12 16, two hamsters running on wheels under the hood..... we just need POWER.

Santa: Please send Dave two hamsters for christmas. He will know what they're for

Hmm.. I keep thinking about all of these posts about more power more torque, etc.

If the new NSX does come out with more power 400+ it's probably going to need a very good Traction Control/Honda Save Me Please system to be able to keep the car going straight on launches or even during spirited driving for most of the buyers.

Just look at the torque monsters out there, E55's, M5's, etc, without their respective traction control systems these cars are almost impossible to launch without getting all squirly and going sideways.

I would rather have a car that is not as fast in the pure 0-60 times, 1/4 miles times and faster at a rolling starts, that will make all that power useable. And keep it about the same weight as the current NSX in order to help in braking as well as lateral grip.

Useable/balanced power is the key. Having to have traction control enabled will take away from the experience.

Just my 2 cents.

Ken

BTW: Both the Gallardo and the Murcielago can put down more power because the cars are AWD, don't want that on the next gen NSX either.

Haha...well, it was bound to happen eventually. But I acutally do like the paddle shifters. If the shifts are violent on an upshfit then that's fine but if it's on the downshift then maybe not. I dunno - haven't been in a SMG or paddle shifted car on track.

Downshifts were good. Upshifts were killer!
