HSC inspired widebody ....Sort of

Started this widebody project a while back as an HSC replica, as it's evolving I find myself leaning towords creating more of a concept car with some HSC styling cues as well as some inspiration from other prime members poto chops that I have seen posted in various HSC related threads . I welcome input fram anyone who might be intrested and I would appreciate some of you chop wizards to come up with some ideas. I plan to change all the body panels except the doors and engine cover glass, so you have to incorporate those elements into the design....also need some suggestions for headlights.....I would prefer to use something from a current or past production car..I plan to paint it white with a black roof.

Basic specs compared to current NSX

Front overhang 2 inches shorter
Rear overhang 4 inches shorter
Front overall width 3 inches wider
Rear overall width 8 inches wider
Wheels ...Split 5 spoke 22 rear 20 front....yeah I know......It's a concept car...not a daily driver

Unless your planning to stuff a V12 in the car.....I would suggest no bigger than 19s or 20s for wheel sizes. Personally for me I would stick with 19's like current F cars.

it will be interesting to see the 4dr civic taillights in an nsx too....

I am now regretting painting my car championship white with a black roof... and am actually considering painting the roof all championship white !!!

I'm trying to create something different but still instantly recognizable as a honda/acura even if you have never seen an HSC or ASCC. or an NSX for that matter.
Coming from someone who has been knee deep in resin and bondo as you have, I take that as a HUGE compliment. Still a long way away and as you know, constantly evolving.

i love projects like these, cause i would love to do (/ be able to do) one :smile:

I was leaning towards white or maybe a pearl white...i'm sure Ill change my mind a hundred times before it's ever ready for paint.....as far as sides, every panel but the doors will be changed.

Maybe 60 or 70 lbs... by the time it's finished probably over 100, it's just a plug.... once the whole thing is together I'll make molds and layup new parts.

^ looks very cool.. As the 2002+ front really freshened up the look of the NSX, this rear you are concocting has alot of potential to do this same! If the rear requires wider rear fenders, then consider making another version for non-wide bodies. I'm sure many would be interested!

Not sure what to do with the wing, might do away with it all together....this bumper was actually a leftover from a previous project, I split it in half and added 6 inches and then grafted in the taillights you see here .

any new updates? i'm glad you're doing the other panels as well - it will make the whole car actually flow

what exactly do you need in terms of photoshop? you just wanna just chop the bumpers on to an actual nsx?

Yeah, that would be great! Also open to sugestions for the side details...quarter panel vents etc. I'm hoping not to have to mess with the doors, so any ideas as how to incorporate the door contours with the wider quarters would help. Enzo style vents would be the easiest but not sure how that would look, any and all input is welcome.

I have to say, even though you don't want to do the doors, I think that will be the most important thing to change. All body kits look like add ons because the doors never change. If you want to really do it right, I would shin the door as well. Just a thought.

I know what you mean, I would prefer to make it as bolt on as possible so the car could be put back to stock. Anyhow, time will tell ....I'll continue to work on it and see what happens. Still hoping someone will do a chop with these bumpers and possible quarter panel options.

This is the best i can do with my limited abilites but i kept in mind that it would be a modified NSX bumper that would bolt on ...so this is probably what it would look like sorta.
PS- it sucks so much more now that it is full scale but i am to lazy ....
