ya i agree something about the back end rubs me the wrong way. i like the front end though.

it's just sad to hear the rumors that the HSC project has been canned in favor of other more practical models for the acura line up... :(

I love the front, am not crazy about the rear based upon the photographs I have seen so far. Too many circles going on back there. Change the taillights and incorporate a low profile, conservative wing.

If they ever come out with this car...who knows when and it is comprable to the NSX, I will likely wait till the 2nd year of its release and buy one.

It will probably be the first 22nd century car on the road! ;)

Boys, your all wrong! This is my wallpaper and I'll gladly buy the first one to park it next to my NSX. Very Cool

With a few styling tweeks, I think that could be one of the most gorgeous cars ever made.

I like the front... car loooks low wide and mean from that angle. But from the weird b-piller back I'm not feeling it as much. Maybe one of those things you just have to see in person.

The rear angle shot of the HSC reminds me of a Mazda RX-8 canape morphed with the Corvette C5 rear bumper and rear fenders. The front bumper has the Lamborghini Murcielago look to it. That is the way how I view the external part of the car. The side mirrors are digital cameras.

I loved seeing this car in person. Much like the Enzo, pictures just don't do it justice. Unfortunately, I hated looking through the rear hatch to see that rediculously under powered engine sitting aft the fire wall. Pathetic. 20 feet away at the car show was the ME4-12. Absolutely no comparison in my book. Chrysler had just passed by Honda in styling and execution. Again, pathetic.

The HSC is in need of a respectable power plant. Something inside of me tells me not to hold my breath.

Which in today's market for a super car is 500HP plus.

how can you say that when you dont even know its specs. I say the hsc motor would be respectable if it 400+ HP but with the new relaseases of the f430 and zo6 coming 450hp is best. the corvette and viper engines would be consider crap and have zero respect if you were looking at its engineering(under 70Hp/liter). To me a respectable engine would be one that has 100+HP/liter.

Because the engines specs were listed on the display sign beside the car. I was there in Detroit reading it I believe. There was an engine in the bay under the rear glass. It looked exactly like our currend engine, although it be externally.

hmmm, this is one of my fav' Prime calender shots! thnx... August is my fav' month, so it makes it all the more e'spezial. . . =)

(btw, i love the HSC. yea, i'm weird as i want it to possess a hybrid drive-train (electric and petrol' motors) and even AWD. jus' speaking from my heart :)

The engines specs on the display only said "over 300hp" I belive, who knows how much over 300hp.

I believe it stated a 6 cylinder engine as well. This is hardly worth the argument though. If the engine was capable of real numbers, it would have stated, "producing over 400 bhp." Alas, we still have dreamers that think a 300+ hp car is going to compliment the HSC. If the HSC were Lotus Elise light, than yes. But then why don't we buy a Lotus Elise? For a lot less.

In the end this is all pretend. Honda will do what it wants to. They have never failed to impress with their products. If there is a new NSX, it will be stellar. If not, than their next spotrts car will be stellar within its class. We worry not for Honda's capability, but for the future of our beloved X.

The mor I look at the picture above the more I realize how much I like this car. And I think that many are right in saying that it just needs a built in spoiler as our NSX's have. If the spoiler were raised to equal level with the roof line, I think it would visually pull the B-pillar back further. As is the trunk looks too long and dominating or the rear glass too short and chopped off. If the spoiler would swoop up just aft of the rear glass it would create a reverse arch effect to counter the arches over the wheels and the roof line.

Just a thought.
