Everyone knows the HSC will be more than 300HP as Honda has already said, they have not said how much over.
Most sources show the motor at 3.5 liters.
The next clue we have is they have shown us the tires and wheels.
The front is a 245/35/19 and rear 295/30/20
I think we can get an idea of the HP by looking at other current cars using the same size, or close and a similar engine layout.
Porsche Turbo HP 415 F 225/40/18 R 295/30/18
Porsche GT3 HP 380 F 235/40/18 R 315/30/18
Porsche GT2 HP 477 F 235/40/18 R 315/30/18
Lambo Gallardo HP 493 F 235/19 R 295/19
Ferrari Enzo HP 660 F 245/35/19 R 345/35/19
Ferrari 360 CS HP 420 F 225/19 R 285/19
NSX 2004 HP 290 F 215/40/17 R 255/40/17

My best guess is just over 400 HP.

I wouldn't put a lot of faith on show car tire/wheel packages. They are typically 2" or more larger then the production version that hits the street.

With the new NSX still over a year out - a lot can and will change so speculation is difficult at best.

Interesting, could you show an example of a Honda show car that they enlarged the wheels 2 inches after showing it to the public?? If it was an NSX related show car that would be even better.

that all it is, a guess, you can guess all you what,

HSC running around the autoshow has those tires, but come production model, i don't think so....the weight diference has to come into play....plus who the hell want 20 rear tires, and will have to change them everyyear...for those of us that drive them..
last i checked 20 tire are$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.....

Right you are.
and so were the 15inch and 16 inch on the original NSX and they did not exactly set high mileage records.
I do not believe Honda is going to sell a 90K car, thinking the cost of replacement tires is an issue.

yes at 90k car yes but a 500,000 car no...

any one and their mommmy can get a 90 car...
90 k for a car is just that 90k.....

15''/16'' tires compared to 20'' tire there is a big diference..
and not a big selection....how many cars come from the factory with 20 highperforamce tires.................that are on cars that cost 90k as of this date.......

I think it should just have 18's all around. Hell, you can get 17's on the RSX now..

I don't think there is any real point from a performance standpoint in going bigger than 18.... is there?

19's are the bare minimum on high end cars now. Cost becomes less over the years anyway, especially with the popularity of 20+ wheels. I can remember saying in 1996 17's were too big and expensive. Long live the 'dub.
