Hi folks!

Just wanted to take a tic to say hello and introduce myself.

I am just getting into buying my first NSX, a good friend of mine has steered me in the right direction! I am looking for something in the 91-97 range... Need to unload my truck first but once thats gone I'll be looking for the right NSX to purchase!!

It will be a daily driver but really... I am anxious to get the car on the track! I have had a few sports cars in my past but have been actively racing motorcycles for the last 3 years (see avatar). I'll post my specific questions elsewhere about how and when the track days (or whatever they are called in this world).

I look forward to learning more and more about these vechicles... seems to be a nice site you have here.

Tim from St. Louis.

Welcome  ...I suggest that you spend some time in the wiki and also doing some keyword searches...lots of information available about the car on this site.

I was a lurker for quite some time and then got on board for a few months before my purchase. Take your time to find the right car...maintenence records are key. IMO its better to buy a car in the to low to mid 30's that is well maintained than trying to find one in the mid to upper 20's that has deferred maintenence.

Helpful hints before you buy...
Get a Pre-Purchase Inspection from a recommended NSX tech.
Obtain a vehicle history report, to verify mileage or title issues.
Get a copy of the NSX buyer checklist...

TIMMAY! TIMMAY gets all the chicks!

Welcome. I'd try to find some local St. Louis guys too to show you their cars.

Here is a car in St. Louis I was considering at Frank Leta Acura, but I decided to go with an NA2, still haven't found the right one yet though. Wow nevermind just tried to find it, and it's no longer in their inventory; would have been perfect for you; it was a one owner 1991, clean carfax, red/black, all maintenance records, recent wp/belts, out of snap ring range and they only wanted like 27k...if only you would have posted this thread about 2 weeks ago, it would be yours;)

Here is a car in St. Louis...

yeah I just missed that one, I called a day or 2 after it sold, I think they said it went for 25k... I've been looking for a month or so now (mostly e-bay) as soon as I saw that one I grabbed my cell phone hopped in my truck and headed down there, I made it 5 mins before I got the bad news it had sold already...

My friend has a black/black 92

noted, and agreed... I am about 45 days into my search. I really need to unload my truck before I jump on one but if push comes to shove I'll pull the trigger.

thanks for the welcomes guys!

I just bought one and the most listings are on Auto Trader and Cars.com.

Goodluck,

yeah I'm bouncing back and forth between the 3... I'll find one that fits. Just being patient. Its easy when its 24deg and salt covered roads!

FYI, this car, VIN JH4NA1156MT000185, has NOS history. The dealer removed it before selling. I'm not saying that's good or bad, just FYI. Also, it was a two owner car at the time.
