How to replace pre-2002 rear letter emblem with Acura badge

I did a search and did not come up with the method of removing the lettered Acura emblem on a pre-2002 NSX and then replacing it with a 2002 Acura emblem. I do know that you need to heat up the rear emblem, but I need detailed instructions so as not ruin my tail light lens.

dont use the heat gun, use hot water instead. I tried both of them, water method is the best - thats my advice
