How to remove windshield washer squirter?

I am going to clearbra the whole hood but am having trouble trying to remove the washer squirters. I pulled the tube off the bottom but the squirter does not seam to budge and was hoping some one could give me some advice so I don't break it trying to figure it out.

IIRC I used a 1/4" drive deep well socket to push in the tabs and pop mine out. For something so simple they are sort of a pain in the arse, because you feel like youre going to break something.
