I finally got my hands on a Mode4 NSX-R CF diffuser. The piece is pretty well made but has no instructions.

It has like 8 holes that need to be attached from the inside of the diffuser. There is no template to drill with so I figured best method is to remove the OEM rear diffuser piece and work on the bench.

How is the OEM diffuser removed on the 2002+ cars? OR what is the best way to install the diffuser if anyone has attempted this?

thanks

there are two bolts that are inside the trunk behind the carpet liner near the corner of the tail lights. after that, buck up and get underneath the car (if you don't have a lift).

No need to remove anything to do the install. Do a search as that is where I
got the instructions to do mine which is also a mode 4. You will need to transfer the hole location to the under part this attaches to. I did not use all 8 bolts either...I think in the tutorial I read, 5 was enough. It was a pretty easy install however...making the holes a little larger than necessary gives you some adjusting "wiggle room" when you get it hanging. Took me a little while to get used to the new look but I think it looks pretty cool.

I just installed mine (mode 4) you need to take the bumper off, it makes things very easy. It took me 45min. There is a thread with pics, you need to search.

Rick,
here are the instructions, it's a very easy install, just take your time and don't rush it. I backed up my car off my sidewalk curb to give me more room to work on the underside. hehe, I know that was a bit Ghetto, but it worked and it installed super easy.

MUCHO GRACIA's to everyone!

I'm going with double sided tape for the majority and only using screws if I have no other choice. This will be my project tomorrow night!

thanks again
