How to modify a NSX into something ugly

So you mean this was posted here before I presume:confused:

timeless ugly... since we've seen it a few times and its been ugly each and every time!

WOW! I have to give him an A for effort. But why ruin such a nice car when he could have just done this with something like an MR2.

jesus how many times are these pics going to show up?

I remember seeing them when i was in high school

I have only been on prime for a few months and ive seen it atleast 3 times now lol

He should use his skills to make HSC body panels

No doubt, everytime I see those pictures, no different than some of the kit cars I am frankly amazed at how much work went into that body.

While I perfectly understand that most dislike the idea of the F50 NSX kit car approach (could make for some interesting club lunches with the F-car guys)... flipping through the pictures and seeing the one-off panels break off the molds and perfect fender liners and gaps.... that guy has mad skills we could put to use. Maybe a Porsche GT kit for the S2000 or something.. lol!!

I guess I don't like sanding and working with fiberglass quite that much to do it every day for months on end... I haven't even finished off the underside of my hood yet I'm so lazy.

Don't feel too bad. Look at it this way. The NSX has been around since 1990 in some markets, so after 17 years, you could figure that just about everything out there about the NSX is in a thread somewhere here on Prime.

Just try to not repost.

Ugh.. bash me if you want, but I kind of like it. Hey, he bought a 91, probably cheap, and wanted it to look like a Ferrari. So now it looks like a Ferrari that is reliable.

What's wrong with that? Yes, he's a poser - but it's his car, he can do whatever he wants, and the body kit looks pretty clean....

We put superchargers and turbos on our cars and make sure the body looks really nice.. why? Because we (or some/most of us) can't afford a F430... but we want it to be as close to comparable, for much much less.

I say, if he's happy, more power to him!

It looks like a Ferrari, but I'm sure if we saw it in person, we would definately get that "something's not quite right" vibe.

Kind of like when your stomach starts bubbling and you look for the nearest bathroom...

Now I'm not the one who can throw stones here, personally I find it interesting. The time and effort alone. That being said, I don't like the fact he put F car emblems on it. Then again, I have accord/civic HFP badges on mine...

note: did those guys ever stop smoking cigarettes while building it?

What, the missing composite tub or the engine turned the wrong way and missing half the cylinders? I guess that's ok... the Fiero kit car guys never seemed to mind these slight details either.

Let me understand this. He first use polystyrene to make out the shape of the F50. Then put liquid fibre glass mixture and net to form the molding. Correct? These method could easily be use to make the actual Dome kit for JGTC NSX.

I can see your gears turning from here. You can use Polystyrene if you use Expoxy resin. If you use Polyester resin you need to use Polyurethane or Polyisocyanurate.
