How to lube pwr window spool?

I just had my door panels off today to check the window cable clips and lube the track and spool. Had no problem figuring out the track, but I'm not sure about the spool. I assume the spool is on the end of the motor with the cables attached. I pulled the motor out and took the round steel plate off and filled the assembly with grease. When I did the same on the passenger side, the spring just about came out before I got it back in and the plate secured back on. There must be a different way.

The spool that needs lubricant is a white plastic pulley that sits in the regulator. It's been some time but I think the spool moves in a groove. In any case you just put some Honda OEM grease on your finger and wrap it around the spool as best you can leaving a thick coating.

Thanks for the reply. I now understand that I didn't get the spool lubed properly. Will go ahead and pull it back apart and do it right.
